Millerton a village within the Town of Northeast has become extremely popular since the rail trail opened approximately 20 years ago. Matter of fact parking on weekends often becomes a challenge. Lots of folks enjoy walking the streets where they can witness glass blowing, sample teas from all over the world at Harney Tea, or enjoy one of the many restaurants that line the streets. Millerton is not the wealthiest of towns, nevertheless it has a lot to offer. Spectacular scenery with lots of open land and a friendly atmosphere prevail. Take in a show at the moviehouse, visit a roadside organic market or sip a curb side cocktail in the village center (seasonal of course). But then again I guess I'm just prejudice having lived here most of my life. If you're comfortable with a laid back lifestyle, Millerton might be right for you too.
